I switched blogs to a .mac one.

It will be easier once I start wanting to share a lot of pictures, and better to change now than later.

HOST FAMILY!

So today was a good day, I got an email saying that they found a host family for me!

I will be living in San Juan de Alicante! With my host parents and their two children.

I really don't know much else except my family has birds, cats, and dogs. 

Lets hope they're nice!

It's Official?

I am officially accepted to CIEE Spain!

I didn't know I wasn't accepted yet.

Next step: host family.

But now I am already getting a little stressed about visas and whatnot. I've heard getting a visa to Spain can be more than a bit difficult so we'll see. Lets hope my host family info comes soon so I'll get my visa on time. 

I worry too much.

I love my sister(s).

So I've been pretty busy doing things so I can finally get all of my forms turned in. Some fun, some not so fun. The not so fun things came along with my medical form. 

Getting Tested for TB and Finding out what type of blood I have.

So my wonder woman sister tested my blood today (Cortney not Meg. But I love you too Meg) . That hurt, even though she swore that it wouldn't. But thats okay, because she also cut my hair yesterday. She can do pretty much anything.

That is the thing she used to test my blood, I thought it was pretty neat.

Also, she has been giving me a hard time about going away. She keeps on saying that I don't love her and won't miss her, no matter how many times I tell her that I will! So yes, Cort. I will miss you! Especially your kids. 

ps. I thought this was cute. I love Jack and I had to post it. BUT the goggles were much cuter on.

The Beginning

Okay, so I feel ridiculously lame starting a blog (no offense Cortney). BUT the woman I have been working with from the exchange organization said it is highly recommended and to start with the application process.

I am starting this blog for two reasons. 1- To keep my family and whatever friends updated on what I am doing in Spain. 2- To keep a record for myself so I can look back and see what I have done. 

So yes, I am spending my junior year in Spain. Or I will be- as long as everything works out.  That means getting a host family that my parents are comfortable with. I'll keep this updated with information on my host family, location, and all of that other exciting pre-departure stuff.

 

As for now, I just need to get the rest of my 30-page application in.

ps. I leave for in-country orientation in Boston on September 17, 2008 and will be in Spain until June 21, 2009.
